About this app

Mini Piano Lite is a very responsive and realistic sounding piano for Android. It has been thoroughly optimized, resulting in a very enjoyable playing experience while keeping the install size to a minimum.

Don't let the name fool you, this is a top digital piano instrument for in your pocket. It features a full keyboard with 88 zoomable and scrollable keys, with various display modes. The default instrument is a beautiful sampled piano, that sounds like the real deal, but there are also 128 other instruments included that cover a wide range of instrument types.

The app has a great minimalist design, that stays out of your way. You can play chords or melodies and record your ideas or songs as MIDI files and export them (on a later moment if you want) to MP3, AAC or WAV. Or use the MIDI file in your favorite editor.
Also included is a song mode with falling blocks, where you can learn to play new songs.

We took great care to minimise ad disruption by using only a single banner. No popups, no videos, no nothing. A simple banner to support our work.

So there you have it, a small but very powerful piano app, loved by many many users. Why not give it a try?

The app is optimized for phone, tablet and Chromebook.

Found its use somewhat clumsy on a normal size phone. Even when zoomed in, I find it difficult not to hit the bottom (which resizes the keys) or top (which is an ad link). This is especially bothersome when trying to record, and speaking of... the natural sustain and/or reverb is gone on playback, making it sound incredibly unnatural.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We can't do much about size, but the zoom buttons can maybe made a bit smaller. Regarding the recording, did you export it to mp3/aac/wav? It should sound identical. If you used the mid file outside the app, then yes you get different sound.

It's nice but there are some glaring bugs. 1. When playing multiple notes at once, the sound crackles and becomes distorted because the volume is exceeding the maximum allowed volume. My only guess as to why this might be happening is that the volume of the notes are not being normalized when being played together. Excessive use of this can cause damage to your speaker or headphones. 2. When selecting an instrument that isn't the sampled piano, the result has an excessive amount of reverb.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. Are you sure it's not crackling from underruns? (When your device is installing apps it can be under high load). Do you experience this with the sampled piano? Feel free to email me at feedback@umito.nl so we can find if this is fixable.

It's a great piano app. I like how you can make it sound like different instruments. But there's two problems. When I use it with headphones the sound is delayed. Also there's a feature where you can lock the piano in place to play a certain part. I always leave it locked on a specific area of the piano, but whenever I open the app up, it shifts to a different part of the piano. I'm hoping these problems get fixed soon. Other than that, it's a great app!
